What it does

TrackCanary monitoring is the layer that helps a site owner or agency see whether tracking quality changed over time. The current version includes scan history, alert history, manual monitoring runs, event inactivity checks, and comparison between the latest scan and the previous scan. Scheduled production monitoring is a foundation and roadmap feature, not a fully automated alerting system yet.

What TrackCanary does not claim

  • It does not prove final attribution.
  • It does not prove ROAS.
  • It does not connect to ad platform APIs in this version.

What TrackCanary checks

  • Latest scan compared with the previous scan
  • Tracking health score changes
  • Missing Google Analytics / GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel, or Google Ads signals
  • Lead actions or WooCommerce signals that disappear between scans
  • Persistent alert history with active and resolved states
  • Manual monitoring runs from the dashboard

Common tracking issues

  • Tracking tags disappear after a website deploy or theme change.
  • A form, WhatsApp link, or checkout path changes without tracking being retested.
  • A site receives no first-party events after the tracker was expected to be installed.
  • Agencies discover tracking problems only after a reporting period is already damaged.

How to use it

From public URL to practical tracking next steps

1

Create a site in the dashboard when you want saved scan history.

2

Run the first scan and review the baseline health score.

3

Run later scans or manual monitoring to compare changes.

4

Review active and resolved alerts before trusting campaign reports.

Recommended next step

Use the public scan first, then create a tracked site if you need saved scan history, manual monitoring, and alert history.

FAQ

Not yet. TrackCanary has a monitoring foundation with manual runs, scan comparison, and alert history. Fully scheduled production checks are roadmap work.

Does monitoring send email or Slack alerts?

No. TrackCanary does not send email or Slack alerts yet. Alerts are stored and shown in the dashboard.

What does alert history show?

It shows active and resolved tracking problems, when they were first seen, when they were last seen, and when they recovered.

Start with a free tracking check

Find tracking gaps before they affect campaign decisions.

The public check looks for visible tracking signals and creates a shareable report. No TrackCanary tracker install is required for the first check.
